Gyunghwa Roh

When constructing the world within her artwork, artist Gyunghwa Roh blends elements that may not have been experienced before but are nonetheless possible. Utilizing visually conceivable, existing, or potentially existent elements, the characters, animals, and objects that appear in her works resist the absurdity of the world we naturally inhabit. Their resistance is portrayed almost magically, with certainty in their actions and expressions, narrating a hopeful story that we are moving towards a better direction.
